While I am not so active on social media, I must write this review on Dr. Jithendran N sir, to help the needy to know the best surgeon (hand, micro-vascular, plastic, ortho) in and around Bangalore, Karnataka.
My wife is suffering from wrist pain (the pain is shooting into thumb, pointing, and middle fingers and also pain in palm) since last one half years and had been taken multiple MRIs, NCTs (Nerve Conductivity Test), and Focused Ultra Sound scans. Almost met 8 top class surgeons (includes few from top corporate hospitals) in the last one and half years. The pain was mysterious.
Initially one and half years back, a minor ganglion cyst was found in an MRI and surgery was done well to remove the cyst by a good surgeon and also done with biopsy which proved it as benign tumor for our relief. It was a right call by the surgeon, but as MRI did not show any neuroma in the median nerve, the root cause was not fixed. Pain continues…
Then, Dr. Jithendran N sir suggested various tests to find the actual root cause. For my bad, with a close relations recommendation, I went to a corporate hospital and visited one of the most famous neuro surgeon who did an investigative surgery 6 months back. At this level, the most surprising part for me was, the surgeon at corporate hospital mentioned that there is a growth on median nerve on fibers which was cleaned/chopped. But, they have not shown me what has been removed and told that biopsy was not required. The surgeon also mentioned that if it repeats, next time they will have to just cut the median nerve and the fingers will paralyze. When I asked, if nerve grafting is possible, he said – it is not possible, hence given zero hopes.
My another friends wife works with one of the Chief neuro surgeon at another corporate hospital. With his recommendation, I went for secondary opinion. There also, it was a surprise for me as, here the chief surgeon told me that this is a carpal tunnel that needs to be released (with out understanding the history in detail) and he said that previous surgeons did all mess. He was ready to release carpal tunnel, if we are ok but he has given zero guarantee on pain relief.
When my wife was suffering from pain again few weeks back, I finally decided to go back to Dr. Jithendran N sir and follow whatever he suggests. By gods grace, here we have got the right diagnosis, hope and treatment. Dr. Jithendran N sir did neve reconstruction surgery (after considering various parameters very carefully) successfully. And the biopsy confirmed that the neuroma is benign tumor for our relief.
Dr. Jithendran N sir is such a great human being where he did not feel offended when I have visited other doctors, but he was only concerned about my wife’s pain relief. Secondly, his patience in understanding the root cause before making any treatment decision was commendable. Finally, the care that he takes while treating a patient is at its best and no one else can match with his expertise, caution, and passion in his work. He is so down to earth and accessible all the time to his patients directly.
After seeing his other reviews, and knowing few other cases on how he treated, from my heart he truly deserves PADMA award for the service he is offering in medical domain. I hope one day, my wish comes true.
