What is penis lengthening?
Many men mention embarrassment or self-consciousness while in the locker room or when they are with their partner. You may feel a longer penis would improve your self-esteem and self-confidence. After penis enlargement surgery, patients speak enthusiastically about satisfaction with the results and report a positive sense of feeling more confident.
Many men are often afraid to initiate a talk about the “private organs disfigurement” and do not wish to be a part of the discussion. Some men feel that their penis size is inadequate. A person with a depressed and de-motivated mood can have a hampered sexual life.
What is penile length?
The male penis length is usually 8.5-10.5cm (2.5-4 inches) in the flaccid condition and 12.5-16.5cm (4.5-5 inches) in the erect conditions. Very few men have a short penis, a condition called as the “micropenis” the length being 4cm (1.5 inches) when flaccid and 7cm (2.5 inches) when erect. Though the length is short, there is no change in the functioning of the penis, except for a lack of confidence in men while being a part of lovemaking with their spouse.
Penile lengthening
It is the surgery that aims to increase penis length
The surgery increases the non-erect length of your penis and, to a lesser extent, the erect length. The average gain in length is 4 cm (1.5 inches) but varies from person to person. It’s not possible to know ahead of time how much actual length you will gain after the surgery.the angle of erection is changed from more vertical to more horizontal.
How is it done ?
The surgery involves making a small incision in the pubic area. Through this incision, the surgeon access and transects the suspensory ligament, freeing the root of the penis and producing an elongation of approximately 2 cm.
V- Y Plasty: The surgery is done by removing a “V”- shaped triangle of pubic skin and advancing it to the base of the penis and closing it in a “Y” shape. It increases the length of skin at the base of the penis allowing for increase in length
Transverse incision – The surgery is done by making a horiozntal incision in the pubic area without a skin flap. Then the skin is stretched using the devices after the surgery.
This procedure is usually performed by a plastic surgeon under spinal anesthesia or under local anesthesia. It can be performed on an day care . After a short period of rest, the patient can lead a normal life except to abstain from sex during a period of not less than 3 weeks.

Sexual activity must be avoided for 3 to 4 weeks afterwards, and high energy sports for 6 weeks.
Sutures are removed after seven to ten days of the surgery. Loose dressings after the surgery help for a speedy recovery
Pain, swelling, and soreness is common after the surgery. Oral analgesics help them to keep in control. Scars of the surgery which are of not much concern soften in a few month’s time after the surgery.
